Cell phones blamed for hearing loss in young people

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Young people may be hard-of-hearing before they reach the age of 30.

Doctors at a London hospital are treating younger patients with hearing problems typically seen in elderly cases.

Cell phones are getting most of the blame. Blasting music and audio from videos on mobile devices are expected to increase the number of hearing loss cases from 11 million to over 15 million by 2035.
