LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Government has already paid out millions of dollars to settle lawsuits with Louisville firefighters and, after a court ruling Tuesday, is ordered to hand over even more money.
The court cases have been playing out for the past 18 years. On Tuesday, a jury ordered the city to pay a total of about $105,000 in miscalculated overtime pay to 17 firefighters.
According to the firefighter's union, these are employees who were not included in two other lawsuits over the same issues. The city paid nearly $60 million to settle those cases with about 1,000 firefighters.
