Clarksville's public library getting renovation and $75,000 tech upgrade

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana library is getting some help to update its technology.

The public library in Clarksville is in the midst of a big expansion, which includes the addition of a lab with 10 laptop computers, 12 desktop computers, new study rooms and self-checkout areas.

The town of Clarksville is giving the library $75,000 to buy new technology.

"We're bringing the library into the now, into the 21st Century, so that our students and our citizens can have access to the best," said Aaron Stonecipher, a Clarksville town councilman.

The renovation is expected to be finished sometime this fall.
