LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man accused of murdering a Louisville mother of four went before a judge Friday.
A not guilty plea was entered for 34-year-old Corey Chapman in arraignment court.
He's accused of killing Leontynae Wade last month on Whitney Avenue.
Police say Chapman is the father of two of Wade's four children. And they say their two sons were there when Chapman pulled the trigger.
Wade's family was in court for the arraignment.
"I'm going to be here every time," Wade's mother said. "I don't hate him. I cant hate him. You know why? Because I hurt too bad. I hurt too bad, yes he did hurt me, yes he did. he left me here with four kids and daughterless."
Wade's family says Chapman also robbed her. He's charged with murder among other charges.
He'll be back in court at the end of the month.
