LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 3-year-old was hospitalized after a shooting in Louisville's California neighborhood Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the reported shooting in the 1700 block of Gallagher Street around 9:30 p.m., Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said in a statement. That's near South 17th Street and California Park, not far from Dixie Highway.
Once on scene, police were told that a 3-year-old was taken to Norton Children's Hospital with a gunshot wound before officers arrived. Mitchell said the child's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Shortly after responding to the shooting, Mitchell said a 20-year-old man showed up at Norton Hospital with a gunshot wound, also not thought to be life-threatening.
Police believe the shootings are related.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. Mitchell said there are no known suspects.
