Indiana legislature proposes 3 options for schools reacting to unplanned fire alarms

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a victim was hurt in a drive-by shooting.

According to police, around 11 p.m. Friday, officers with LMPD's 4th Division responded to a call about a shooting in the 800 block of Phillips Lane, near Crittenden Drive.

Authorities say when police arrived, officers found a male victim who had been shot inside a vehicle. He was taken to University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the victim and a witness stated they were entering I-264 east from Crittenden Drive after taking a wrong exit while trying to travel to downtown Louisville. As their vehicle re-entered the highway, someone in an unknown vehicle drove up next to their vehicle, on the driver's side, and fired several shots.

Officials say the victim, who was driving the vehicle, was hit.

According to investigators, the victim exited the interstate and stopped in the parking lot of a hotel on Phillips Lane.

Upon investigating, police have not been able to determine the exact location where the shooting took place.

Police have made no arrests.
