LMPD says suspects were found with drugs, cash and stolen guns

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a man and woman after allegedly finding guns, drugs and cash during a traffic stop.

Marvin Norris, 27, and Gara Bolin, 36, were arrested Monday in the 4000 block of Poplar Level Road, near Illinois and Taylor Avenues.

According to an arrest report, an officer was looking for Norris because he had several arrest warrants.

Police say officers located Norris driving a vehicle on Poplar Level Road. Authorities say when Norris was found, officers saw several guns, drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Investigators say a Glock 9mm and Citadel 1911-22 were located inside the vehicle. Officers also found an SKS rifle was found on the front seat and a Stevens 410GA shotgun found behind the car's front seat on a floor board.

Officials say meth, heroin, scales and needles were also found in the car.

The police report states that Norris "told investigators all the evidence inside the truck was his."

Police say a lock box containing a large amount of money was also found. Authorities say more money, along with loaded needles were found in Bolin's purse.

Norris is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking heroin, four counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and two counts of receiving a stolen firearm.

Bolin is charged with trafficking meth, trafficking heroin, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
