Michigan cheerleader accused of trading pot brownies for Homecoming Queen votes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A high school cheerleader in Michigan is accused of using brownies laced with pot to score votes for Homecoming Queen.

Police say she brought 12 brownies to Hartford High School, but they only recovered three. Officials are not sure whether students consumed the other nine.

They said some of the brownies were included with the football team's Homecoming week goodie bags.

Michael Prince with the Hartford Police Department says parents should look into what happened.

"I think they need to talk to their children that are students, and if they think that they could possibly have been involved, then take them to the hospital and get them tested."

The student who brought the laced brownies could face felony charges for distributing drugs in a drug free zone.
