One of the biggest meth busts in Louisville history made in Hikes Point

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tucked in an east end neighborhood and inside what appears to be a prim and proper home in Hikes Point is an unexpected surprise to most on Dandor Road.

"Obviously, we don't know them as well as we thought they did," neighbor Theresa Johnson said.

"Just the fact that there were drugs over there and drugs in this neighborhood, that horrifies me," added another neighbor, Linda Rouser.

On Thursday, a big bust revealed a bunch of drugs and a few guns.  A kilogram of heroin, several ounces of weed and over 34 pounds of meth were all discovered. That's one of the biggest meth finds in LMPD history.

After getting a search warrant, Metro Police took a K-9 into the home and made the find. Franklin the dog is pictured perched on top of the drugs in what looks like a closet.

Ashley Pugh and Warren Curry were arrested Thursday, and taken to jail. They face a slew of charges, including trafficking and drug paraphernalia. Detectives requested a high bond.

"You know you can only hope justice will come for them," Johnson said.

For Curry and Pugh's neighbors, it just goes to show an address or section of town doesn't limit crime.

"It's not segregated," Johnson said. "It's everywhere."
