Police: Kentucky mother arrested at doctor's office with 2 children

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Kentucky mother went to a doctor's office high.

Tracy Llewellyn was taking her two elementary aged children for back-to-school check ups in Williamsburg. But her behavior led to concern from the staff. They said the 30-year-old would nod off at times and her speech was slurred.

WKYT reports that Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird said when officers searched her car, they found drugs.

"They did a K-9 search of the vehicle, they found a small quantity of oxycodone pills and some other prescription pills," said Bird.

Llewellyn is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and public intoxication. She also reportedly had four active warrants and tried to give the officer a false name.

Police say the man she went to the doctor's office with-- Keith Jones-- was also high.

Authorities say the children are now in the custody of their father.
