POLICE: Man pulled from truck, beaten and robbed in Dutchmans Lane parking lot

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- St. Matthews Police are investigating after they say a man was brutally beaten and robbed in the parking lot near a St. Matthews social club.

According to an incident report, it took place on Sunday, just after 9:30 p.m., outside Token III Club Inc., which shares a parking lot with Village 8 Theatres at 4014 Dutchmans Lane.

Police say the victim was sitting in his 2002 Chevy Silverado truck, when he was approached by two men who were strangers to him.

When he saw the men, he locked his doors, but according to the incident report, one of the men grabbed what the victim thinks was a wooden board and smashed out the driver's side window.

Police say he then began punching the victim in the face. 

According to the incident report, the men pulled the victim out of his truck and beat him in the face until he blacked out. 

Police say the men stole the victim's iPhone, iPad, checkbook and $100.

When the victim came to, he was able to drive himself home. From there, his girlfriend drove him to Medical Center Jewish East, where police met him to take the report. Police say he sustained cuts and bruising around his face and nose.

Police say the two suspects are still on the loose. They have been described as black males, both around 20 years old.
