POLICE: Victim in critical condition after being stabbed by Louisville man in chest and face

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say a victim is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in the face and neck by a Louisville man.

According to an arrest report, it happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, at a home in the 1400 block of S. 2nd Street, near W. Magnolia Avenue.

Police say 28-year-old Joshua S. Lee was arguing with a person he had been dating, when the confrontation turned violent. According to the arrest report, Lee pulled a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim several times in the face and chest, before running away.

Police say the victim was somehow able to go to a neighbor's apartment to get help.

The victim -- whose gender is not identified in the report -- was then taken to University Hospital, "in critical condition due to numerous life-threatening stab wounds," according to police.

Police say Lee was able to remove the knife from the scene before officers got there.

He was arrested at his home on E. Oak Street, just before 11:30 p.m. He's charged with first degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
