Suspect charged with providing gun used in April homicide in Shawnee neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide in the Shawnee neighborhood in late April. 

Reginald Burns, 26, was arrested June 7 in connection with the shooting death of 24-year-old Glenn Browning. Police found Browning's body on April 26 in a vehicle in an alley at south 39th Street, near River Park Drive.

Browning was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound. 

According to the arrest report, investigators determined that Burns provided the gun used to kill Browning. Police say the 9mm handgun was stolen from Sportsman Rod and Gun in Elizabethtown on Dec. 15. 

The identity of the suspect accused of shooting Browning has not been released. 

Burns is now facing charges of complicity to murder and receiving stolen property - firearm. 

His bond was set at $50,000.
