Louisville doctor charged with sexually abusing a patient

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The doctor accused of sexually abusing a patient won't be able to leave the country.  A judge made the order this morning.

Prosecutors were concerned Doctor Ghias Arar may flee to his native Syria since he's out of jail on bond.

The doctor is charged with sexually abusing a female patient last Friday at East Louisville Neurology. The woman's attorney says several other women have come forward with similar claims. Arar's attorneys claim the woman was trying to get prescription pain medicine.

The Kentucky Medical Licensure Board has barred the doctor from seeing female patients.
