LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A fire destroys the only Catholic church in Hart County, Ky.
It burned through the Our Lady of the Caves church in Horse Cave just before 7 a.m. Friday.
The roof collapsed, and only the brick walls were still standing as firefighters and others salvaged various icons from the church.
No one was hurt, said Horse Cave Volunteer Fire Dept. assistant chief Kevin Cox. He added that it's too early to tell where the fire started or what caused it.
Agents from ATF and the state fire marshal's office are among the authorities investigating, Cox said.
Archbishop Joseph Kurtz and parishoners will celebrate mass at 8 a.m. Sunday in the nearby, undamaged parish hall, The Record newspaper reported.
The church serves about has about 250 members among 75 families, according to the parish website.
