LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hundreds converge on the LaGrange Quarry to soak up the sun and celebrate sobriety.
Sunbathers paid $20 admission for the third annual Float for Recovery Saturday afternoon.
The event gives those battling addiction a place to have fun without alcohol or drugs for.
It also raises money for The Healing Place.
"There are people from all over the country that come to Louisville to go to The Healing Place, and they help so many people and the only way they can do that is through donations and charity, that's the first reason," Tara Moseley, program manager for Young People in Recovery, said. "Then the second reason is to bring awareness to recovery, because we don't talk about it and celebrate it enough.
Organizers say the last two Float for Recovery events raised a total of $25,000 for The Healing Place, which they hope to top this year.
