GOSHEN, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police were back out at the scene Monday where a 3-year-old boy died in Oldham County.
The child, identified Monday night as Nishchay Patel, was found unresponsive in a van outside a Hindu temple on Highway 1793 in Goshen just before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Nishchay was taken to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville where he was pronounced dead.
Oldham County Police are still piecing together what happened, but they are calling it a "death investigation." The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said the cause of death is still pending.
No one has been charged in connection with the Nishchay's death.
The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple released a statement asking for privacy for its congregation.

We are focused on supporting his family through this tragic time, keeping them in our thoughts and daily prayers. We ask for respect and privacy to allow the family and our congregation to mourn this loss and heal through prayer.
