Jeffersontown Police make arrest in Friday morning homicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jeffersontown Police have arrested Ronshai Jenefor, 20, in the death of a man in Jeffersontown on Friday morning.

The victim, who police say ran a foster home for troubled youth on Thelma Lane, was found in the house by his sister just before 11 Friday morning. Police say he was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, and had been bludgeoned with a blunt object.

Neighbors who were familiar with the house gave police a description of Jenefor and his vehicle.

Police located his car and Jenefor was found shortly after, walking in the rain near the intersection of Six Mile Lane and Old Six Mile Lane.

Police say Jenefor lived at the home, and he admitted to stabbing the victim while being interviewed.

The murder weapon has not been recovered, but Jenefor told police it is in the home. Police have obtained search warrants for the car as well as the home, and plan to process the scene overnight.

Jenefor is charged with murder.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.
