LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A judge ruled Tuesday that Joseph Oberhansley, the Indiana man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and eating her body parts, is competent to stand trial, according to court documents filed in Clark County.
There's now a hearing scheduled in August to possibly determine a trial date for Oberhansley. Police say he killed 46-year-old Tammy Jo Blanton in 2014 at her Jeffersonville home.
He's charged with murder, rape and abuse of a corpse. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death.
