LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A juvenile is now facing felony charges after an alleged online threat towards Bardstown City Schools circulated social media over the weekend.
Superintendent Ryan Clark sent a message to parents Sunday evening alerting them of the alleged threat, but no details were given.
Clark said the juvenile responsible for the post had been located, but is not a student of Bardstown City Schools and does not live in the district. He said the threat turned out to not be credible.
The student is facing a charge of terroristic threatening against the school, which is a felony.
Extra officers were on hand Monday morning to answer any questions students may have had.
Bardstown Police posted to Facebook on Monday, saying it will continue to have extra patrols at the schools on Tuesday as a precaution.
