KSP troopers suspended after attacking man over Facebook post, attorney says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Kentucky State Police troopers accused of attacking a man over a Facebook post have apparently been suspended.

David Gabbard filed a lawsuit after Trooper Scott Townsley pulled him over in eastern Kentucky last year. Gabbard believed it was an illegal stop and posted about it on Facebook.

The next day, Gabbard claims Townsley and two other troopers showed up at his home and attacked, slapped and pushed him.

Gabbard's attorney shared the cellphone video. You can't see much, but the attorney says you can hear the trooper say: "I did not harass you yesterday."

That attorney said that Townsley and Trooper Joshua Roaden were suspended for four days.

Kentucky State Police has not yet responded to a request for disciplinary files.
