Gov. Matt Bevin talks tough on budget cuts, Kentucky's Attorney General, and LMPD

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A controversial gang bill is now the law of the land in Kentucky.

Governor Matt Bevin signed the bill on Thursday. Its goal is to crack down on gang activity and recruitment.

Those convicted of gang-related crimes will face stiffer penalties and more prison time. It will also change how gangs and gang activity are defined.

Critics argued the law will unfairly target people of color.
