LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville police officer is being praised for his kindness to an elderly woman.

In a social media post, Louisville Metro Police said First Division Officer Hobbs was called to check the welfare of a 92-year-old woman. Neighbors were concerned, because her dogs were outside and they hadn't seen her for days.

Officers went to the home, and she told them she just got out of the hospital. The woman was apparently embarrassed that she hadn't cut her grass.

So Hobbs started up a mower and took care of the small lawn. He wouldn't accept the money she offered, but the officers did agree to come back to have coffee. The woman admitted to them that she gets lonely.
