LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Free Public Library will offer more than 50 free programs in February to celebrate Black History Month.
The library said in a release that local experts, professors and authors will help explore aspects of Black history often overlooked. Events throughout February will include history talks, art activities and film screenings.
For example, on Feb. 10, the Chickasaw Book Project will be at the Shawnee Library talking about the Chickasaw neighborhood during the 1940s to 70s.
On Feb. 20, the Kentucky Humanities Council will be at the South Central Regional Library presenting on the Underground Railroad in Kentucky.
