LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department will hold six events Tuesday for National Night Out.
The annual community-building campaign promotes police partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, aiming to bridge the gap between police and the people they are sworn to serve and protect.
LMPD officers and city officials will be at six locations around the city:
1st Division
- Big Four Lawn, 1101 E. River Road, from 5-7 p.m.
- Majority Caucus District representatives: Councilman Ken Herndon, D-4, and Councilwoman Donna Purvis, D-5
2nd Division
- Algonquin Park, 1614 Cypress St., from 5–7 p.m.
- Majority Caucus District representatives: Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, D-1, Councilwoman Shameka Parrish-Wright, D-3, Councilman Ken Herndon, D-4, Councilwoman Donna Purvis, D-5, and Councilman JP Lyninger, D-6
3rd and 4th Divisions
- Iroquois Park, 5216 New Cut Road, from 5–8 p.m.
- Majority Caucus District representatives: Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins, D-1, Councilwoman Shameka Parrish-Wright, D-3, Councilman Ken Herndon, D-4, Councilman JP Lyninger, D-6, Councilwoman Jennifer Chappell, D-15, and Councilwoman Betsy Ruhe, D-21
5th Division
- Douglass Park, 2305 Douglass Blvd., from 5-8 p.m.

6th and 7th Divisions
