Man accused of beating elderly woman to death wants charges dropped

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man accused of beating an elderly woman to death with a wooden stick wants his charges dropped.

Kevin Schuler was in court Thursday. He is accused of beating 57-year-old Asenath Arnold to death in her bedroom in her Harrison County, Indiana, home.

Schuler and Austin Scott were arrested in 2013.

Scott is accused of stabbing 70-year-old Gary Henderson 23 times.

Police say they were looking for guns, money and pills and ended up killing the couple who lived there.

Both men could face the death penalty.

A judge will issue a ruling on whether to drop Schuler's charges later.
