Meeting held to plan security for Jeffersonville's first-ever gay pride parade

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a focus to make sure Jeffersonville's first-ever gay pride festival stays secure.

Jeffersonville Pride founder Evan Stoner met with Mayor Mike Moore and Jeffersonville Police this afternoon at City Hall.

Stoner says safety is a top priority, and he's confident the city will work to make the event safe. Stoner also says he contacted Indiana Governor Mike Pence to request the presence of Indiana State Police.

Jeffersonville Pride is June 25.
