Neighbor of Sen. Rand Paul pleads not guilty to assault charge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man who attacked U.S. Senator Rand Paul isn't giving up his fight.

According to WBKO in Bowling Green, Rene Boucher is now suing Paul over the lawn debris that sparked the attack. He's also suing Paul's wife and their Homeowners Association in Bowling Green.

Boucher says the couple violated the neighborhood's bylaws by repeatedly piling up unsightly debris and trash.

Boucher attacked Paul while he was cutting his grass in November. He pleaded guilty to assaulting a member of Congress and was sentenced to 30 days in prison.

Paul is suing Boucher for pain and suffering.
