Pedestrian hit and killed by a car on Terry Road, no charges expected for driver

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified a man who was hit and killed by a vehicle while walking on Terry Road.

According to Deputy Coroner Eddie Robinson, that man has been identified as 59-year-old James H. Dennison, Jr. of the 6700 block of Fenway Road.

Dispatchers say Dennison was hit on Terry Road in the Pleasure Ridge Park area about 7:35 p.m. Thursday.

PRP Fire and Louisville Metro Police arrived on scene shortly afterward, reporting a man in his late 50s was hit by an SUV and died at the scene. 

Responders told police Dennison was walking in Terry Road near Westshire Drive and police said the driver of SUV will not be charged.

The coroner's office lists "multiple blunt force injuries" as the cause of death.
