Pennsylvania police officer charged in shooting death of Antwon Rose

EAST PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WDRB) -- A Pennsylvania police officer is now charged in the shooting death of an unarmed African-American teen.

East Pittsburgh, Pa. officer Michael Rosfeld has been charged with one count of criminal homicide in the death of 17-year-old Antwon Rose Jr.

Rose was killed last Tuesday after police stopped a car officials say matched a vehicle wanted in a shooting in a nearby town. He was running when he was shot.

Marchers have disrupted the city in the days since Rose was killed.

The funeral for Rose was Monday.  Family and friends of the teen say they remember him as a caring young man who deserves to be known as more than just a hashtag.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
