1 person dies when semi truck catches fire on I-65 in southern Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person died Monday night in a fiery crash in Clark County.

Indiana State Police said, just before 6 p.m., a semi truck ran off the road on I-65 South, near Henryville, before hitting a tree and catching fire.

The driver, who was found by first responders trapped inside the truck, died in the crash. ISP said it's unknown when he or she died or what the cause of death was. The truck was carrying a load of dairy products.

The crash shut down the southbound side of the interstate for several hours.
