LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they were called to a Louisville tanning salon after a woman spent almost three hours in the tanning bed.
But it's what she was found with that police say put her behind bars.
According to an arrest report, officers were called to a Sun Tan City on Shelbyville Road Tuesday afternoon, on a report of a woman who had been found asleep in a tanning bed, who would not wake up.
The officers arrived at 4:11 p.m. According to the arrest report, police say they found 23-year-old Lauren Morton completely asleep in the tanning bed. The manager allegedly told officers that Morton had been at the salon since 1:18 p.m.
Police say they found a small packet of pills with tanning lotion in plain view on the table.
Officers were eventually able to to wake Morton, but when they asked her the date and time, she answered incorrectly, according to the arrest report. Police say she told them she needed to pick up her five-year-old at school. Instead, police say they contacted a family member to pick up her child.
Morton was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, illegal possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
She is currently being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
