President Bill Clinton speaks at Muhammad Ali's memorial service

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former President Bill Clinton took the stage following other speakers at the Muhammad Ali memorial service on Friday at the KFC Yum! Center.

"We all have an Ali story. It's the gifts we all have that should be most honored today," Clinton said.

Clinton said Ali decided early on that, "he would not be, ever, dis-empowered."

"I think he decided very young to write his own life story," Clinton said.

Clinton followed other speakers including Billy Crystal, several of Ali's children, friends and family members.

Imam Zaid Shakir closed the memorial with a closing prayer.
