McConnell says American people are 'conflicted' on presidential race

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky U.S. Senator and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell isn't planning to leave the Senate anytime soon.

In a TV interview, McConnell said there's a great likelihood he'll seek a seventh Senate term in 2020.

The Republican is the longest serving senator in Kentucky's history. If he did win in 2020, he would be serving well into his 80's.

McConnell most recently beat Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes in the 2014 election.
