Shelby Co. woman sentenced for stealing from disabled veterans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Shelby County woman is sentenced to 25 years behind bars for stealing from two disabled veterans from Frankfort.

Authorities say 43-year-old Cammie Henson of Bagdad was convicted of two counts of knowingly exploiting an adult.

They say she was caring for Jack Browning Sr., a disabled Korean War veteran and three-year Prisoner of War.

She was also taking care of his son, Jack Browning Jr., a disabled veteran from the US Marine Corp.

Authorities say over a two-year period, she stole more than $20,000 from the Frankfort men.

She was also convicted of being a persistent felony offender.
