Shelter-in-place lifted around GE Appliance Park

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - MetroSafe confirms that the shelter-in-place was lifted Sunday at 1:20 p.m. for the one-mile radius around GE Appliance Park.

The shelter-in-place had been in effect since Friday morning, when a massive fire broke out in one of GE's buildings in south Louisville, completely destroying much of what was inside.

The fire is under control, but the scene continues to smoke a bit.
