Military vets push for medical marijuana to treat PTSD

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- U.S. Sen. Rand Paul has joined with two others to introduce a bill that could end the federal ban on medical marijuana.

The plan would allow 23 states that have already legalized medical marijuana to be protected.

Advocates say the federal prohibition on marijuana prevents doctors at veterans' facilities from prescribing it for medical purposes. Access is also difficult.

Marijuana legislation has also been introduced in the House.
