LEXINGTON, Ky. (WDRB) -- Pieces of University of Kentucky basketball history are going up for auction.
The Lexington Center and Rupp Arena are hosting a surplus materials and salvage auction on Friday, August 17.
Among the items for sale are remaining pieces of the original Rupp Arena court used from 1976 to 2000 and concourse signage.
Also on the block are light fixtures, desks, office chairs, display cases, concession equipment and a 20-foot Christmas tree.
Bluegrass Auctions is opening up items for inspection On Monday, Aug. 13. The auction will take place on at 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 in the back of Rupp Arena, under the Jefferson Street bridge in the Manchester Street lot. For more information, call (859) 233-4567 or CLICK HERE.
The auction comes as construction begins on an expansion and renovation of the Lexington Center and Rupp Arena.
