LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Officials say the body of 24-year-old Jacob Sanders, bassist for the band Velcro Pygmies, was found in a lake in northwest Alabama.
This is according to Colbert County, Alabama coroner Carlton Utley.
Sanders and his brother Jeremiah went missing earlier this month while on a fishing trip in Florence, Alabama.
Officials say Jacob's body was found Tuesday around 8:30 a.m. near Pride Landing, along the Tennessee River. The area is about 10 miles west of Florence. Officials say the body was located by a fisherman.
The following message was posted to the Velcro Pygmies' Facebook page:
"We hoped, and prayed for a miracle, but it wasn't meant to be. Our hearts are heavy as we can now report it was Jacob who was recovered this morning. The search continues for Jeremiah, and we hope for a resolution soon. Please share this so we can let the entire PygVerse know. We love you guys."
Authorities are continuing the search for Jeremiah Sanders.
