UPDATE: Police arrest suspected Walmart shoplifter

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have identified and arrested a man suspected of shoplifting from the Walmart in Fern Creek on several occasions.

Police arrested Kevin McKee Sunday afternoon.

He faces one count of receiving stolen property.

Police say McKee stole a fireplace from the Walmart and even tried to take home a recliner without paying for it.

He's also accused of stealing household items.

The three thefts and the attempted theft occurred between Aug. 2014 and Feb. 2015.

Police say he's stolen a fireplace and tried to take home a recliner without paying for it.

He's suspected in three thefts and an attempted theft ranging from Aug. 14, 2014 to Feb. 9, 2015. He's also accused of stealing household items.

Investigators describe the suspect as a heavy set white man with a shaved head. They believe he's 30 to 40 years old and about 6' tall.

Police say the man usually wears the same clothes, like a green and a gray jacket.

Detectives say he's driving a small silver hatchback with the Kentucky license plate 177-JNX. Police believe the license plate is stolen.
