WDRB News honored for 'Overall Excellence' by the Associated Press

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- WDRB News is proud to accept several first place awards from the Kentucky Associated Press. 

The honors came during a ceremony at the Galt House in downtown Louisville Saturday night. Among the seven first places given to WDRB News is the most prestigious award for Overall Excellence. 

The award for best daytime newscast went to WDRB News @ 11:30 and Noon (producer Erin Pryor, executive producer Cara Catlett). WDRB News @ 4 won for best evening newscast (producer Rachel Bailey, executive producer Cara Catlett).

WDRB News was also honored with first place awards for both breaking news and digital coverage for our stories on the federal investigation into the University of Louisville pay-for-play scandal.

Photojournalist Dominik Furhmann was named best photographer and Rachel Bailey best producer.
