Former U of L football player says he was asked to "cover up" attack

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky high school won't have a football team this year because not enough students wanted to play.

Trimble County's principal posted to Facebook on Wednesday to announce that the school's 2018-19 football season has been canceled. The principal said the varsity and JV teams didn't have enough players come out for practices.

The school does want to re-establish the program in the future.

Trimble County was set to play its first game on Aug. 17 against Eminence.
