POV | Bill Lamb

These are the first days of the Kentucky State Fair. I was out there to kick off Day One at the WDRB pavilion and I'll be there again. State Fair is a great way to meeting people.

Traditionally, TV stations go out there for one day. We used to do that too, but last year everything changed. You may remember we were out there for several days and gave away 100,000 safe solar-eclipse sun glasses. We enjoyed meeting so many more people, that this year, WDRB is going to be at the fair for all 11 days in the South Wing - Lobby B. Occasionally, we will broadcast live from out there and we have a lot of interactive things to do. Everyone you see on our news will be there at one time or another, many more than once, because we don't want to miss an extended chance to say "Hi!" You can see the schedule of who will be out there and when on our website at WDRB.com.

The State Fair is an American tradition. It's a time to admire beautiful crafts and skills that people are proud to show you, a time to eat exotic deep fired Twinkies, a great time to people watch, and see some of the most impressive, pampered animals on the planet. It's also a great place to make new friends.

I hope to see you there!

I'm Bill Lamb and that's my Point of View.
