Police and mall officials are heaping praise on a Bartholomew County, Indiana, man who saved lives after he pulled a gun and opened fire on an active shooter inside the mall Sunday evening, despite a mall policy prohibiting guns.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron said cities can only enforce a concealed carry ban if there's an ordinance that makes it illegal.

Currently, people wanting to carry a concealed firearm in Kentucky have to receive a permit for their local sheriff’s office. Openly carrying a gun is legal in most part of the state.
