LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --A male, transgender student will continue to be allowed to use the girls locker room and restroom at Atherton High School.
The school's Site-Based Decision Making Council has decided to let the principal's decision to allow students to use the facilities of their gender identity to stand. The vote was 8 to 1.
The principal's decision came after the council voted last month to add "gender identity" to its non-discrimination policy. But, the move sparked an outcry from students and parents.
