Louisville recognized as one of the world's top food destinations

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Louisville has earned recognition among the top foodie destinations in the world.

Saveur Magazine named Louisville among the world's top food and dining destinations in its 2014 Culinary Travel Awards.

The awards honor the world's best cities, bars, hotels and airlines, among other areas, across 21 culinary categories. 

An expert panel of world travelers and readers determine the honorees.

In the Best Culinary Destination category for cities with populations under 800,000, Louisville was credited as "Notable."
