LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Police in Jeffersontown arrested a man they say robbed a victim at gunpoint.

Lamar Becton, 19, was arrested on Monday evening in the 10000 block of Taylorsville Road, near Watterson Trail, on an outstanding bench warrant.

Police records state that Becton committed an armed robbery on Oct. 11, along with three other unidentified individuals. The arrest report does not state the location nor exact time the robbery occurred.

Police say the suspects stole money and a cell phone from the victim during the robbery. Authorities also say the victim was able to identify Becton on Oct. 22 by looking through police photos. Police say the victim stated he knew Becton from school.

Police say Becton gave them a taped statement admitting to taking part in the robbery.

Becton is charged with one count of robbery.
