LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three people were found dead Saturday in the Park DuValle neighborhood after police responded to a report of a shooting.
The call came in around 4:15 p.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.
Louisville Metro Police originally reported the victims were two males and a female; however on Sunday, LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the victims are actually three males.
The cause of death for the three homicide victims has not been released, but Mitchell said there is "visible trauma".
"It's tragic for the family, it's tragic for the community, it's tragic for our city. Anytime life is taken unnecessarily, it's a tragic day and it's up to the people, all of us to come together to try to curb this violence," Mitchell said.
"How sad it is. That's the first thing that came to my mind. It seems like it's not getting any better. It's getting worse," described neighbor, Jeffrey Kemp. "Nothing surprises me no more."
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information on this triple homicide is asked to contact the Louisville Metro Police tipline at 574-LMPD.
