Sentencing for man who fatally shot Gagel Avenue neighbor delayed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sentencing for a man found guilty of killing his neighbor has been delayed.

Attorneys say they're still waiting on paperwork in the case of 56-year-old Mark Tatum. He shot his neighbor, 67-year-old David Allen, in 2012 on Gagel Avenue in Louisville.

Tatum and Allen apparently had several fights over the condition of Tatum's yard. The shooting happened after Allen filed charges against Tatum.

A jury found Tatum guilty of murder in May, and recommended a sentence of 35 years in prison.

Sentencing is expected later this month.
