LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police say they've arrested a man after he sexually abused a 13-year-old boy.
According to Trooper Josh Lawson, spokesperson for Kentucky State Police, 26-year-old Daniel Dowdy used Facebook to send and receive sexually explicit images with the 13-year-old. During the course of the communications, Lawson said Dowdy and the victim met in person and engaged in sexual contact.
Both Dowdy and the victim are residents of Owen County, Kentucky, Lawson said.
According to police, Dowdy was arrested shortly after police talked to the victim.
Dowdy is currently being held in the Carroll County Detention Center. He is charged with second degree sodomy, first degree sexual abuse and engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor or peace officer for a sexual offense.
